Heart freed
I was once a broken-wing bird,
Walking while the others could fly.
Climbing up high to hear the word,
Of my friends in the clear blue sky.
Then you came to me with a heart so pure,
Lifting me up, so high, so high, so high,
You breathed life into me, a voice that could cure
All my troubles. I leaped off your palm to fly.
I could fly, because you believe,
Free to be wherever I want, but I didn't depart.
I came back to your arms to retrieve,
And invite you into my heart.
You gently lean upon me,
I warmly look upon you,
There's no other place I'd be,
Than with you, and do whatever you do.
