Lullaby for Lorie
goodnight lorie and sweet dreams,
let your bed comfort and cradle you,
set yourself free from this world,
join me in a dream made just for two.
take a deep breath before you travel,
close those dear eyes, let them rest,
i'll take you in your soft slumber
to a place our hearts know best.
in the hours our bodies sleep and sleep,
we'll be anywhere, nowhere, everywhere,
talking about anything, nothing, everything,
in a paradise only you and me share.
before the sun can wake the world,
we'll fly home to our sleeping shells
to find each other in the new day,
being together as in our dream tells.
i sing this lullaby for you each night,
because our dream is made for two,
i sing this lullaby for you, dear lorie,
because i won't leave without you.
