Lost from Love

wandering places without knowing
where i am or where i'm going,
i'm so lost from love,
gone somewhere unheard of.

i have a sliver of light for aid,
old maps all worn and decayed,
stars that are clothed by clouds,
roads blocked by angry crowds.

every turn i take looks the same
as the way from which i came,
travelers ignore me when i ask,
hiding behind a faceless mask.

there is no end that doesn't look
like the beginning that i took,
how i wish love would light the way
to find a place i can sleep and stay.

doors slam in my tired face at night,
i keep knocking around, someone might
someday let me in from the cold
lending a hand that i can always hold.

my hope and faith keeps me outside
searching for a home i can reside,
a heart i can share myself with,
i believe that true love is no myth.

wandering places without knowing
where i am or where i'm going,
i'm so lost from love,
looking for the one i'm thinking of.
